Spanish Fork Utah Art
Over the weekend, dozens of prizes and scholarships were awarded to drama, dance and music students at the 41st annual Shakespeare Competition, hosted by the University of Utah School of Drama, Dance and Music and the Utah Shakespeare Society. At the end of the competition, selected students were given the opportunity to study Shakespeare's most famous works as well as other works from literature, music and dance.
The scholarships were awarded depending on the student's degree, and the dance scholarship at Southern Utah University went to Jaime Hernandez, a junior at the University of Utah School of Drama, Dance and Music and Performing Arts. Although prominent artists of the early years were born in Utah, two other artists from the Utah Valley contributed artworks to the P Grayson Temple.
The art can be purchased at the Salt Lake City Art Museum, Utah Museum of Art, or at local art galleries. Some of the art was purchased in local house shops, some at Pier 1 imports, and some at P. Grayson Temple or other local shops.
